Bio
Ms. Weiss is a business and contract law, litigation, and labor and employment attorney. After earning her bachelor's degree from Stanford University, her master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, and her J.D., with honors, from Harvard Law School, Ms. Weiss began her legal career in New York at Davis Polk & Wardwell. She then moved to San Francisco, where she worked for Brobeck Phleger & Harrison and Morgan Lewis & Bockius before eventually joining a small technology-focused employment law practice in the East Bay. Ms. Weiss brings to Gagen McCoy experience in a variety of legal fields across a broad spectrum of industries. In her practice, she has advocated for both plaintiffs and defendants, representing individuals, small- and medium-sized businesses, and large multinational clients. She advises individuals and businesses on matters including contract drafting and negotiations, entity formation and dissolutions, and purchase and sale transactions. She particularly enjoys the challenges of written advocacy, including appellate work, and of finding creative solutions to perplexing problems. She has substantial pro bono experience, including in the areas of immigration/asylum applications and appeals, eviction defense, and victims' rights.
Ms. Weiss currently serves on the Governing Board of the San Ramon Regional Medical Center. She also volunteers at local Danville schools, where she has served as a Site Council president and a PTA Executive Board member. She enjoys swimming, yoga, skiing, and, most of all, raising her two sons
